Bulgaria is Outsourcing Destination of 2015 - UK's National Outsourcing Association
London, November 20 (BTA) - Bulgaria received the Outsourcing Destination of the Year award of the UK's National Outsourcing Association (NOA), the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association (BOA) said in a press release Friday.
The award winners were announced at an official ceremony in London attended by BOA head Stefan Boumov, who received Bulgaria's award.
Bulgaria also won the Offshoring Destination of The Year award, beating Slovakia, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
The prestigious awards are yet another international recognition of Bulgaria and its outsourcing industry, after the receipt of the European Outsourcing Destination award in October.
This year's successes of the Bulgarian outsourcing industry were preceded by the extremely successful 2014, when Bulgaria ranked ninth for its attractiveness in the outsourcing sector in the world and became the only European country in the top 10 best outsourcing destinations, according to the 2014 Global Services Location Index of the A.T. Kearney global management consulting firm.
The NAO annual awards, which have been conferred for 20 years, select and award the efforts of outsourcing organizations around the globe to strengthen the best practices in the outsourcing industry. The NOA was established 28 years ago and currently has over 300 corporate members.
The outsourcing sector continues to be among the most dynamic and quickly developing businesses in Bulgaria, increasing by 13.7 per cent in 2014 compared to 2013 and making up 3 per cent of the country's GDP. Last year, the outsourcing sector created opportunities for career development and professional growth for more than 33,000 young experts.
The BOA was established in 2012.
